Ruth Miller and Alan Davies originally met whilst they both worked for the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds. However, in 2008, they gave up their jobs and spent the whole year travelling the world birding. They subsequently set a new world record for the highest number of birds seen in a single year – 4,341 species. They became sensations in the ornithological world!
The dynamic duo called that year ‘The Biggest Twitch’ and now, back in North Wales, they have gone on to form their own birding tour company called Birdwatching Trips offering guided bird watching daytrips, weekends and longer tours in North Wales, across Britain, Europe and further afield.
