Where are the Wild Women?
Amy is a biologist and writer based in North Yorkshire. She is a Country Diarist for The Guardian and a columnist for British Wildlife and writes regularly for BBC Wildlife and other magazines.
She has written more than 30 natural history reference books but is becoming better known for her more personal and creative nature writing and her campaigning – not least for access to nature, equality in the nature sector and nature friendly farming.
Her next books will be A Tree A Day (published later this year) and The Flow: a return to the river, which will come out in 2022.
