Going with the flow of our rivers
Amy-Jane Beer is a biologist turned naturalist, writer and campaigner. She is a Country Diarist for The Guardian, a columnist for British Wildlife and WWT Waterlife among others.
Her latest book, The Flow is a deeply immersive exploration of the rivers of Britain – their ecological, historical, cultural and personal significance. She is a national organiser of both the Right to Roam campaign and the environmental arts charity New Networks for Nature. Both of which aim to foster greater appreciation of the nature and challenge the low political priority afforded to the systems that sustain us all.
