The coffee beans from Papua New Guinea come from a number of local farms in the Eastern Highlands, where they don’t use any chemicals or fertilisers in the production process. The cherries are handpicked, pulped, fermented, washed and then sun dried by local villagers. Sounds great, but what does it actually mean?
It creates beans with a full-bodied flavour, complex aroma and juicy acidity. Mmmmm… berry notes, caramel and burnt sugar. Heavenly.
Forrester coffee bags have a zip-lock and one-way valve, which allows carbon dioxide to leave the bag but stops oxygen from coming in. This way the coffee won’t go stale. The beans stay best for a month, but will be good for up to three months if stored properly in their own bag or an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
